Sunday Funday: Mother’s Day in Pink and White

I hope everyone had an amazingly wonderful day with Moms! We didn’t do anything lavish, just spent time with our mothers and gave them flowers.  It’s nothing that constitutes a crazy celebration by any means, but the most important thing to do at times is just to spend time with them on the day that appreciates and recognizes them, right?

Anywhoos, before seeing our mothers, hubby and I went for a quick brunch at Helen’s Grill.  It was sunny enough that I figured I could rock shorts, but I keep forgetting it’s still only spring and the breeze can turn slightly cold! Anywhoo, I balanced it out with a long sleeved tunic and my fave soludos espadrilles.

Can I just take a moment to say that these are by far my fave sandals? I love that these espadrilles are comfortable and stylish at the same time.  I was so tempted to go for the popular black and white strip that everyone seems to gravitate to (as did i!) but I took a chance and chose the muli-colored stripe instead.  The reason being, I figured that because it’s going to be a summer staple for me, it basically covers a lot of the colors I’d be wearing during summer time, and boy was I right! So far, every color tone that I’ve used from yellow to pink and denim works with these babies!

The rest of the day was just spent with mommies chatting so aside from grocery shopping in the afternoon and picking up flowers it was just a chill Sunday!
